Inside Eagle Landing

Inside one of the most popular golf communities in northeast Florida, Eagle Landing. In this video we are going to go over a brief history of this community, amenities, location, homes, and then I'll share with you what I love most about this community.

Eagle Landing is a sub community nestled within the masterplan community of Oakleaf. Oakleaf is a 6400 acre planned development by the Hutson Company, which at one time was the fastest growing community in the state of Florida. They were recipients of numerous awards because of the development of this community, which has set the standard for many of the masterplan communities moving forward in Florida.

Eagle Landing is also known as a CDD community, which stands for Community Development District. A CDD is a fee that provides valuable community infrastructure generated by growth. Ultimately, without overburdening the other governments and their taxpaying residents, the city is tacked onto your taxes and can be found if you go to clay County Property Tax Assessor's Website. As of the recording of this video, the average city fee here yearly is approximately $3100. So what do you get in this golf course, masterplan Resort style CDD Community?

Eagle Landing includes an 18 hole championship Clyde Johnston designed golf course, a golf clubhouse and its athletic center a two story facility with 12 lighted tennis courts, full service locker rooms and integrated volleyball and pickle ball system. The community also offers a swim park with four pools, a kids club, miniature golf and outdoor amphitheater, numerous neighborhood parks and playgrounds and scenic hiking biking trails that stretch along untouched conservation areas. A full time recreation staff plans year round programs, clinics, camps and social activities for kids, teens, seniors and families. Another cool feature about this community is that golf carts are allowed to be driven in the community. You can't beat the convenience of jumping in your golf cart to enjoy a day at the pool or for a round of golf so now let's talk about location. Location is great. Plenty of shopping nearby with two Publix supermarkets within a five mile radius, along with growing lists of restaurants to choose from.

The Oakleaf Town Center slowed its growth after the 2009 market crash, but has come back strong in recent years with new commercial buildings and a growing number of establishments being added consistently. In reality, you don't have to go too far for anything. Eagle Landing is located only a 35 minute drive to Jacksonville International Airport. It's right off the new Cecil Field Commerce Center Parkway toll road that will take you directly to I-10. 30 minutes away from downtown, 24 minutes away from Naval Air Station Jacksonville, only 45 minutes away from Jacksonville Beach.

Eagle landing has  elementary school, middle school and high school, right in the master plan community with bus pickup and drop offs. Everything is so close that you'll always see kids either walking or riding their bikes to and from school, which is a nice touch for this community.

So what do I love about Eagle Landing?

I love the charm of the amenity center. I love that it is a golf friendly community. At any given day, you can just jump in the golf cart with the family and ride over to the amenity center, play tennis, golf, swim in the pool. I mean, it's just very accessible. There was one word for Eagle Landing. It's convenient.
